Why the site was down from 3rd January 2012 to 9th January 2012.

  • 3Ezy.net temporarily stores the visitor's email address on the server but to honor the privacy we delete all the personally identifiable information from the server.
  • Some a-hole uploaded CP to our server and I have some of the image hosting servers with a German provider, Hetzner.de, who give like 1 hour warning emails. Ofcourse I don't check email per minute and due to holidays I did not get time to respond.
  • They [The host] immediately blocked network access, thats how they deal with everything (plus its preferrable as it saves them the 100s of GB of bandwidth 3ezy.net ends up using everyday). I am going to move the servers out from there soon, but that's not my point....
  • Maybe I was wrong to believe that privacy could be provided with a service, but the idea was not to condone illegal uploads or allow Child Pornography. Copyright could be grey area, but CP? It's morally so degraded it is unjustifiable and I consider this PERSONAL as a devops who is putting in time and effort.
  • I tried frantically to search all logs in different servers for any clue. But logs had been rotated and flushed out.
  • I was able to recover the partial logs of all access to the CP file (which is now removed) but all I found are referral from a particular home page and lots of info
  • This is where YOU my good visitors and users come in to help.... if you can please. Also hoping redditers will help as the source seems to be around Germany


    • CP loving a-holes, you have messed with the wrong site.

    I am going to publish the aggregated log of access to the CP file (whatever I have). I know some of the visitors could have been misled to access the picture and therefore a complaint was generated.

    It is possible by the amount of access that someone out there can spot something that can help catch or report to proper local authority about who uploaded or something. I am just hoping here


    I have operated this site on my own for several years without any problems, writing the code and installing servers and paying for it (without running adult ads). I have never had this kind of misuse

    I hope you as a visitor will understand my reason for dropping the whole anonymous at this point. I will still protect the privacy for those who are using this service for the right reasons but I am afraid I can no longer take the risk of letting CP propogaters get away with this.

    I am sorry! If you can't accept that I can understand.

    I promise to continue to keep the data safe and also never sell you out, but I believe we have to all agree that there is a limit to what is acceptable and I will only use the information so in future I can do a better job as a DevOp.

    To CP uploaders and sharers, next time you upload CP to a site you better find an ISP on another planet.
